NWFP Provincial Coordination Committee on Water and Sanitation constituted

Government of NWFP notifies the Provincial Coordination Committee on Water and Sanitation on November 10, 2006 with the composition having Secretary Local Government (LGRDD) as chairman and representatives from PHED, EPA, Health Department, LCB, UNICEF, WSP-SA and Local Government FATA. The TOR of the committee is as follows;

a) To establish provincial forum for safe drinking and sanitation in the contest of environment.

b) The Committee will review implementation of legislations and policies related to drinking water and sanitation.

c) To review annual report on state of drinking water and sanitation in the province.

d) The Committee mats co-opt any expert/organization, as its member as and when deemed necessary.
