Water and Environmental Sanitation Network
WESNet is a network of WES related government organizations, NGOs, donors, academia and private sector players of NWFP in Pakistan. The need for network was reiterated by the Governor NWFP on World Water Day on 22nd March 2002, subsequently leading to the establishment of WESNet after thorough consultations with key stakeholders.

Federal Cabinet approves National Sanitation Policy

The cabinet approves national sanitation policy to provide adequate sanitation coverage for improving quality of life of the people of Pakistan and their physical environment necessary for healthy life. The main emphasis of the policy was to ensure safe disposal of liquid and solid waste, promotion of healthy and hygiene practices and to enhance capacity building of government agencies.
